In a blog post, Google said it is moving the “Movies & TV” section from the Play Store to the Google TV app. The change will take place starting in May. The Google TV app will become the place for Android users to buy, rent, and watch movies and TV shows since the Google Play app will no longer support them.

Your purchased content will continue to be available in the Google TV app, and purchases on the Google TV app will continue to be eligible for family sharing and Google Play Points. In addition, you can still use Play credit and Play gift cards to make purchases in the Google TV app. In addition, you are still able to access your wishlist from the app. You can still view and request refunds for purchases made on Google Play.

According to the blog post, Google Play will continue to be your store for apps, games, and books. Google TV will give you the same experience you’re used to with Google Play Movies & TV, including the latest new releases, rentals, deals, and great recommendations.
