Overview
Description

CapCut is a free, beginner-friendly video editor built for short-form social content, with templates, auto-captions, and one-tap effects. Owned by ByteDance, it integrates tightly with TikTok-style vertical video workflows.

ScreenFlow is a Mac-native screen recording and video editing application from Telestream that captures screen, camera, and microphone simultaneously, including multiple cameras, mics, and screens at once, plus iPhone and iPad screen capture. Recorded footage drops directly into a multi-track, non-linear editing timeline with nested clips, markers, color labels, freehand annotations, and multi-channel audio mixing. Beyond capture and editing, ScreenFlow includes a built-in library of titles, text and video animations, cinematic filters, closed-caption tools with ADA-compliance support, and motion graphics for logos and titles, plus an optional stock media library of images, audio, and video. It exports to ProRes, MP4, and other codecs, including animated GIF and APNG, and is aimed at tutorials, software demos, and training content.
