Overview
Description

The Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV Select is a hand-assembled drip coffee brewer built around a copper heating element that holds brew water in the correct extraction range, paired with a brew basket that controls how long the water stays in contact with the grounds. It carries certification from coffee industry bodies for brewing to specification, which is the practical reason it is recommended over cheaper drip machines that under-heat their water. The Select variant adds a switch to choose between a full carafe and a half carafe, adjusting the brew basket flow so a smaller batch is not over- or under-extracted. There is no clock, no grinder, no app and no programmable start. It is a single-purpose machine with replaceable parts, made in the Netherlands, and sold on the expectation that it will be repaired rather than replaced.

The Ninja Air Fryer Max XL uses rapid hot air circulation to crisp food with up to 75% less fat than traditional deep frying, while a 5.5-quart capacity accommodates family-sized portions of fries, wings, or a whole chicken. A Max Crisp technology setting reaches higher temperatures for extra-crispy results comparable to deep frying, and a wide temperature range allows both air frying and dehydrating in the same unit. The non-stick, dishwasher-safe basket and crisper plate simplify cleanup, while an easy-to-read digital display with preset cooking programs takes the guesswork out of common dishes.

Does exactly what we need

Been a regular user of Ninja Air Fryer Max XL for a while now. Genuinely crispy results. One minor gripe: basket coating may wear over years of use, but it hasn't been a dealbreaker. Would recommend.

Decent but has rough edges

Ninja Air Fryer Max XL is solid overall, though it's not perfect. On the plus side, large capacity for family cooking. That said, can be loud during operation, which held us back from rating it higher.

I picked up Ninja Air Fryer Max XL a while back and haven't looked back. Versatile with dehydrate mode. One minor gripe: takes significant counter/storage space, but it hasn't been a dealbreaker. Would recommend.
