Overview
Description

The Ninja Air Fryer Max XL uses rapid hot air circulation to crisp food with up to 75% less fat than traditional deep frying, while a 5.5-quart capacity accommodates family-sized portions of fries, wings, or a whole chicken. A Max Crisp technology setting reaches higher temperatures for extra-crispy results comparable to deep frying, and a wide temperature range allows both air frying and dehydrating in the same unit. The non-stick, dishwasher-safe basket and crisper plate simplify cleanup, while an easy-to-read digital display with preset cooking programs takes the guesswork out of common dishes.

The Wonder Oven from Our Place is a small countertop oven that folds several appliances into one cavity: air frying, baking, broiling, toasting, reheating and a steam-assisted mode. Its design pitch is the opposite of most multi-function ovens, which get bigger with every mode added. This one is deliberately compact, with a footprint aimed at kitchens where counter space is the binding constraint rather than capacity. The steam-assist function is the distinguishing feature: adding moisture during the cycle keeps baked goods and reheated food from drying out, and helps bread and pastry crisp on the outside while staying soft inside. Controls are physical dials rather than a touchscreen, and the oven is sold in the same colour-led design language as the rest of Our Place's cookware, which is a real part of its appeal to its buyers.

Pros & Cons
Pros
  • Large capacity for family cooking
  • Genuinely crispy results
  • Easy cleanup with dishwasher-safe parts
  • Versatile with dehydrate mode
  • Genuinely small for a six-mode oven, which is the main reason to pick it
  • Steam assist meaningfully improves reheating and baked goods
  • Physical dials are faster and more reliable than touchscreen menus
  • Replaces a separate air fryer and toaster on a crowded counter
Cons
  • Takes significant counter/storage space
  • Can be loud during operation
  • Basket coating may wear over years of use
  • Small cavity limits batch size, so it will not handle family-sized trays
  • Expensive for its capacity compared with plain countertop convection ovens
  • Not a replacement for a full-size oven for roasting or large bakes

Does exactly what we need

Been a regular user of Ninja Air Fryer Max XL for a while now. Genuinely crispy results. One minor gripe: basket coating may wear over years of use, but it hasn't been a dealbreaker. Would recommend.

Decent but has rough edges

Ninja Air Fryer Max XL is solid overall, though it's not perfect. On the plus side, large capacity for family cooking. That said, can be loud during operation, which held us back from rating it higher.

I picked up Ninja Air Fryer Max XL a while back and haven't looked back. Versatile with dehydrate mode. One minor gripe: takes significant counter/storage space, but it hasn't been a dealbreaker. Would recommend.
