Microsoft OneDrive vs TestDisk
Side-by-side comparison of features, pricing, ratings, and alternatives.
OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage, built into Windows and bundled with Microsoft 365, offering seamless file sync and Office integration. It is the default cloud drive for Microsoft-centric users.
TestDisk is a free, open-source data recovery utility that fixes partition tables and recovers lost partitions when problems stem from software faults, viruses, or user error. It can rebuild damaged or deleted partitions for FAT, NTFS, exFAT, and other filesystems, repair boot sectors, fix FAT tables, and rebuild the NTFS Master File Table using its mirror copy. It also undeletes individual files from FAT, exFAT, NTFS, and ext2 filesystems and ships bundled with PhotoRec, a companion tool for recovering lost photos, videos, and documents. TestDisk runs from a text-based menu interface on DOS, Windows, Linux, macOS, and several BSD variants, and is licensed under the GPL.
