Oral-B iO Series 9 vs Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold PRO Head and Face Shaver
Side-by-side comparison of features, pricing, ratings, and alternatives.

The Oral-B iO Series 9 pairs a magnetic, micro-vibrating brush head with linear magnetic drive technology for a smoother, gentler brushing motion compared to traditional oscillating-rotating brushes, while still delivering thorough plaque removal. A color-coded smart pressure sensor lights up green, yellow, or red on the handle to indicate ideal, acceptable, or excessive brushing pressure, helping prevent gum damage from brushing too hard. The companion app uses the phone camera during brushing to provide an AI-powered 3D mouth map showing which areas were missed or need more attention, turning brushing into a more guided, data-driven routine.
The Pitbull Gold PRO is Skull Shaver's core head shaver, and the design premise is different from any conventional razor: it is gripped in the palm with the blades facing outward, so the whole hand can follow the curve of the skull. A standard handled shaver forces awkward wrist angles on the back and sides of the head, which is why most people shaving their head either miss patches or nick themselves. It uses a multi-head rotary layout that flexes to contours, works on both head and face, and is cordless with a USB charging cable included. Skull Shaver supports the platform properly: the Baron blade heads come in PRO 3, PRO 4 and PRO 5 configurations, and Forte and Carver replacement blades, rinse stands, travel cases, chargers and back shaver handles are all sold as compatible accessories across the Pitbull range.

Decent but has rough edges
Oral-B iO Series 9 is solid overall, though it's not perfect. On the plus side, genuinely useful real-time pressure feedback. That said, app features require a smartphone, which held us back from rating it higher.
