Assault vs CyClones
Side-by-side comparison of features, pricing, ratings, and alternatives.
In Assault, a mothership drops up to three alien ships at a time, with ten enemies per level. You steer left and right with the joystick and fire upward, while dodging hostile projectiles and items they drop. As you keep firing, a heat meter fills; overheating or taking a hit costs a life. Reach 999,999 points or lose all lives, and earn an extra man every 10,000 points, up to four lives total.
In 2010, humanity discovers a crashed alien ship and soon faces a devastating attack from the alien mothership. The Advanced Ideas Corporation creates the Enhanced Combat Scouts program, deploying the prototype Havoc to disrupt enemy communications and become Earth's last hope. Players take control of Havoc in intense single-player and multiplayer missions, battling cybernetically-enhanced foes across futuristic battlefields while uncovering the alien technology that threatens humanity.
