Exstetra vs Knights of Xentar

Exstetra is a Japanese fantasy role‑playing game that blends traditional turn‑based combat with a unique kissing mechanic. Players explore a vibrant world, forming bonds with characters through intimate kisses that unlock powerful abilities. Developed by Studio Saizensen and published by FuRyu, the game launched on November 7, 2013, and is rated CERO B for players aged 12 and up. Its single‑player experience focuses on narrative, character relationships, and strategic combat.

Knights of Xentar, originally released as Dragon Knight III in 1991, is an eroge role‑playing game that blends classic turn‑based combat with visual‑novel storytelling. Set in a fantasy world, players control the hero Desmond (originally Takeru) as he travels across the land, battles monsters, and encounters a cast of beautiful women while uncovering his true identity. The game features a full world map, party management, and multiple romance routes, all presented with anime‑style artwork and a humorous tone. Originally for Japanese PCs like the NEC PC‑9801, it was later ported to the Sharp X68000 and PC Engine CD, and remains a cult classic among retro RPG fans.
