Overview
Description

In this retro turn‑based strategy game you command military forces across a 25‑grid map of Japan and surrounding waters. Your mission is to locate and destroy the monster before it reaches Tokyo, or the game ends in disaster. Each turn you can launch land, sea, air, missile or atom bomb attacks, or reposition troops, with outcomes shown for casualties and damage. The atom bomb wipes out all life in the surrounding eight squares, but using it near Tokyo ends the game instantly.

War of the Human Tanks is a story‑driven strategy title that blends the tactical depth of chess with the hidden‑grid mechanics of Battleship. Set in a land reminiscent of modern‑day Japan, players command human‑shaped tanks in a proxy war between the Empire and the Kingdom of Japon.\n\nThe single‑player campaign follows Lieutenant Shoutaro Daihon'ei as he leads his loyal tank company through a desperate last stand, exploring themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the harsh realities of war. With indie‑style visuals and a visual‑novel narrative, the game offers a unique blend of tactical combat and emotional storytelling.
