Monaco GP

Monaco GP is a pioneering arcade racing game released by Sega in 1979. Players steer a Formula One car around a top‑down track, aiming for the fastest lap in a single‑player challenge. The game was offered in three cabinet styles—vertical upright, cocktail table, and a deluxe sit‑down version—bringing the thrill of Grand Prix racing to arcade floors worldwide. A sequel, Pro Monaco GP, followed in 1980, and the series later expanded with Super Monaco GP and Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II. Monaco GP also saw a home console port to the SG‑1000 in 1983, preserving its legacy as an early racing classic.
