Remember Me is a visionary third-person action-adventure game set in a dystopian Neo-Paris in the year 2084, where personal memories are digitized, bought, sold, and traded. Players assume the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter whose own memory has been wiped clean by the authorities. Following her escape from prison, she embarks on a quest to recover her identity and uncover the secrets of the surveillance society that created her. Gameplay blends acrobatic platforming, exploratory navigation, stealth, and intense real-time action combat. A defining mechanic is 'Memory Remixing', which allows Nilin to break into targets' minds in real-time, manipulate their memories, and alter their perception of reality to change the course of events.
