Overview
Description

In the year 2090, humanity faces an alien onslaught from the Cranassians. The World Alliance Military deploys the Raiden Supersonic Attack Fighter, a captured alien craft turned weapon, to turn the tide. Players pilot this craft through eight vertical scrolling missions, dodging enemy fire, destroying robots, buildings, and aircraft while collecting bombs, missiles, and medals for high scores. After defeating the Stage 8 boss, the mission loops back to Stage 1 with faster enemies, rewarding players with a million points per loop. The game offers both single‑player and cooperative modes, delivering classic arcade action on the PlayStation 3.

Set four years after the original, Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive thrusts players back into the skies as guerrilla forces unite under a ruthless dictator. The new nation launches relentless assaults, forcing the government to recall veteran pilots equipped with retooled weaponry for a desperate counter‑offensive. The game delivers classic arcade action with modernized mechanics, offering both solo missions and cooperative play across a variety of challenging stages. Fans of fast‑paced shooters will appreciate the tight controls, diverse ship selection, and relentless enemy waves that define this retro‑style masterpiece.
